In about 1-2% of all pregnancies, the fetus has organ defects.

In order to detect such injuries, we perform examinations at 18-22 weeks, known as detailed ultrasound examinations or detailed ultrasound.

In this examination, we investigate possible anomalies in the fetal organ systems by measuring the brain, face, spinal cord, heart, lungs, abdominal organs, kidney, bladder and long bones of the baby with ultrasound.

Most, but not all of the organ abnormalities can be detected at 18-22 weeks’ examination.
