If the pregnancy termination is within 7 weeks or less, we perform the procedure with local anesthesia. If our patient wishes, we can also plan the procedure under general anesthesia.
If there is a pregnancy between 8 and 10 weeks, we prefer termination under general anesthesia.
Whether under local or general anesthesia, your procedure is performed without any serious discomfort. You will have a small amount of pain and a small amount of bleeding after the procedure, this is normal.
At the end of the procedure, you can go home after 1 hour of observation. You can return to your normal daily activities after 1 day.
